About me
My career has been from nursing to social work and counselling. As a social worker I worked in aged care and disability sectors as a case manager. Due to major changes to these sectors I completed my counselling training to add to my skills.
I am a qualified social worker and counsellor. My qualifications are:
- Bachelor of Behavioural Science: La Trobe University.
- Bachelor of Social Work: Melbourne University
- Graduate Diploma of Genetic Counselling: Melbourne University
- Master of Counselling: University of Divinity (Stirling College)
I have an interest in carers who are caring for someone with disability or an older relative.
My nursing sparked an interest in acute and chronic health issues for example diabetes, multiple scleroris, strokes or dementia.
I also have an interest in genetic conditions and how it impacts on person and their family life.
As a mature aged woman, I have worked with a range of people developing an understanding of people’s challenging circumstances.
